Le piano a des fils... Mixed piece for prepared piano, computer and reactive video This essay tackles the amplitude and pitch detection of the notes played on the piano to make the video reacts. I had to install guitar pickups on the piano cords. So, the system reacted differently to specific cords. Some tests have also be realized to integrate the musicans with the video in staging them behind a semi-transparent screen made with tulle. With guitar pickups installed in the piano, this one become extended by the computer and the video projection with urban and abstract images. © 2008 |
